Steve Layden the curator of the 2005 Kingston Sculpture Biennial was so excited after seeing "Back to the Fuschia", that he wanted to use the maquette for publicity. At Fabulous Furniture we work in the "reverse-maquette" process. First we build the large scale sculpture, then the maquette. I had Mike Karpf build the maquette from scratch, carved from wood with some model car parts.
