The Bubble Car

The Bubble Car started life as a 1948 Plymouth 4 door sedan that we sliced, diced and re-welded into this one-seater runabout to bring out the true essence of the car. Top speed is just over Mach One.

Steve earned 1st place with the Bubble Car at the The Kingston Artist's Soapbox Derby in 2003. When invited to participate in the art car display at the NY International Auto Show at the Javits Center, Steve motorized the Bubble Car to enable it to drive under it's own power (Cold Fusion).

The Artist's Soapbox Derby and Kinetic Sculpture Race is presented annually by the Donskoj Gallery and the City of Kingston, NY.
